Background —

CyberIAM provides the expertise needed for the design and implementation of complex Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions.

The Brief —

CyberIAM needed a quick turnaround on the design and construction of their new office space in Steam Mill in Chester. Viewing their office space as a representation of their company culture, CyberIAM wanted it to be inspiring and vibrant. They requested a branded environment with meeting and filming space, private offices and a social space for staff. The old mill building had some tricky features such as low beams, intrusive columns, exposed timber ceiling and plenty of exposed brick. With a lot of functions required, the spaces needed to be versatile and CyberIAM wanted help with how to zone the office and how to maximise the available floor space as well as how to create an inspiring interior scheme.

The Result —

We extracted the brief from the CyberIAM team, understanding their needs and aspirations for this new office space. It was clear it needed to be versatile and provide opportunities to function in many ways to maximise the space. The meeting room functions as a meeting room, a collaboration space, a podcast studio, filming backdrop and soft seating area thanks to the variety of adaptable furniture we utilised. With the existing mill building we could work the strong features to our advantage – keeping a minimal palette of brand colours and inserting a little bit of greenery to soften the heavy industrial feel, the result is a vibrant, CyberIAM-ified office space. The client feels it is on brand, has increased staff retention, improved productivity and client relationships and that it has exceeded all expectations.
