After relocating from their previous cellular offices, the client wanted to embrace a fresh, open and
collaborative office space. The first step of our
office planning was deciding how we could accommodate to their needs and make the large open-plan space feel like a series of smaller spaces. This was done by angling the desk pods, leaving pockets of space for collaboration furniture. Acoustic hanging panels from Autex and space dividing storage from Allermuir also helped to differentiate between the teams. The company partners also forewent their private offices in order to lead by example and work collaboratively alongside the rest of the teams. We created Partner corners so that they still had a dedicated space to carry out important work from.
Bringing the outside in was important to NR Barton on this canal side office, so the
office design embraced nature through planters, moss wall frames and hanging decorative plants from InLeaf. The colour scheme on The Senator Group’s soft furniture reflects the brand colours in more natural hues, introducing some terracotta and earthy yellow to complement the brand greens and blues. Although the glass screen desk toppers have minimal visual impact, they did prove to be a necessity for a socially distanced way of working
